Privacy policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
At EtherMesh we care for your data with the same respect we bring to your city’s air. This policy explains, in plain terms, what data we collect, what we use it for, and what rights you have. It is governed by Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data of the Dominican Republic.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is EtherMesh. If you have any questions or want to exercise your rights, write to us at privacidad@ethermesh.net.
2. What data we collect
Waitlist: your email address and the municipality or municipalities you want to be notified about.
Initiative signature: your full name, your email address, and the municipality you are signing for.
We collect no more than each purpose needs, and we never ask you for sensitive information.
3. What we use your data for
Waitlist: only to notify you by email when EtherMesh becomes available in the municipality you chose.
Initiative signature: to add your signature to the request that the service reach your municipality and, once enough signatures are gathered, to present that formal petition to the corresponding town council (ayuntamiento).
Each list has its own purpose: waitlist data is not used for the petition, nor the other way around.
4. The legal basis for processing
We process your data with your free, express, and informed consent, which you give by ticking the corresponding box before submitting each form. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Who we share it with
Initiative signature: once enough signatures are gathered for a municipality, your name, your municipality, and your request are delivered to that municipality’s town council (ayuntamiento) as part of the formal petition. From that moment, this data is under the municipal authority’s responsibility and leaves our control.
Waitlist: we do not share this data with any authority or with third parties for commercial purposes.
To send you emails we use an email provider that acts solely as a processor, following our instructions.
6. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist data until EtherMesh reaches your municipality or until you unsubscribe, whichever comes first.
We keep signatures while the initiative is active and for as long as needed to record the petition presented. After that, we delete or anonymize them.
7. Your rights
You can access your data, rectify it if it is inaccurate, object to its processing, and request that we delete it (right to erasure).
To exercise these rights, use the unsubscribe link included in every email or write to us at privacidad@ethermesh.net. We will handle your request within the timeframes set by law.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may turn to the competent data protection authority.
8. How we protect your data
We apply reasonable measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, and we limit access to those who need it for the purposes described.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date above and, if the change is significant, we will let you know by email. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated version.
